User exit/BAPI for populating LIKP when saving STO in ME21N

Hi all,

 

I'm looking for a user exit / BAPI that will be called in ME21N after creating an STO and pressing save, which creates and outbound delivery.

 

I want to populate the delivery header (LIKP).

 

Everything I've tried so far hasn't worked.


We have not converted Cube2 in to HANA Optimized in Multi Provider

Hi Experts,

 

We have migrated the SAP BI production system in to the SAP BW 7.4 on HANA with service pack 9.

 

Now I am converting the Info cubes in to the HANA optimized cubes in the Production system.

 

My doubt is, we have one Multi Provider which is build on the 2 cubes ( Ex: Cube1 & Cube2 ). So, If we  convert only Cube1 in to HANA Optimized, will it create any problems in the production system as we have not converted Cube2 in to HANA Optimized.

 

Please guide me to proceed further.

Retrieve number of SQL Anywhere licenses into PB

Hi all,

 

Using SQL Anywhere 11.0.1.2713

Powerbuilder 11.5.1. build 5097

 

In ISQL Anywhere we can do the following  select property('licensecount') from dummy;  (which gives us the number of sql licenses)

 

How do we get the result of this in PB so that we can show the number of licenses in our HELP / ABOUT window ?

How to push out tables from memory in SAP ECC6 EHP7 based HANA 1.0 SP11?

I have ECC6 ehp7 based upon SAP HANA DB 1.0 sp11; the DB system shows currently used memory 130 gb. We are only using Plant Maintenance module so most of the buffered tables we won’t be using.

I already tried few option

  • Set parameter reload_tables to false in SQL section
  • In the indexserver.ini file by adding the parameter tablepreload_write_interval in the persistence section

I know there is a table where we can set value for each column or row table to load table data into memory to reduce memory usage. I tried table TABLES but there is no entry with TRUE or true.

Any reply is appreciated.

Business required Purchase register with separate tax amount (like VAT, Excise and CST)

 

I facing problem to fetching line item wise data from WB2_V_RBKP_RSEG2 to BSET.

 

Scenario.

1) Single po with Multiple Line Item

2) Single Po Single line item and Multiple Migo and Miro

 

Here with attached data from WB2_V_RBKP_RSEG2 to BSET.

 

I am not getting line item wise relation from WB2_V_RBKP_RSEG2 to BSET for second scenario.

From Object No. select POSID & PSPHI from table PRPS for WBS Element & Project Definition internal Number. Pass this no in PROJ-PSPNR to get Project Definition External No from PROJ-PSPID. Alternatively you can you converser Function Module.

One material having Unit of measurent       : KG .

We are having a Workflow Situtation in which when a user clicks on a Particular stpe ,it is getting disappeared.

 

The name of the step is "Enter Invoice data on target client "

 

 

With this Task you will be routed automatically to the target client to

post the Invoice.

 

This Task will automatically disappear if an Invoice has been correctly

stored on the target client. Please click refresh.

 

In the case: you would like to cancel this task and go back to the

User-Decision: PO / Not PO related, please click the link "Cancel workitem:

Go Back to Decision Task" on the right side.

create multiple TO for one IBD

Hi,

Let say, we want to create TO for first line of Inbound Delivery XXXXX using VL06I

In the item view screen we have selected one line item

we ever been done it for several times, but TO created was not follow our need although we have already tick some certain lines only.

TO was created for all items as mention on the inbound delivery.

Its also happen whenever we try to create TO by put a PO # and we put tick mark on one items in a inbound deliveries.

System will create TO for all items on that nominated PO #.

Bascially we want multiple TO for one IBD

 

Another Question: Is it possible to create TR from inbound delivery instead of TO?

Error determining planning periods for calendar xxx

Hello fellow SAP-enthusiasts!

 

My customer is running MRP through a batchjob and program RMMRP000 is executed correctly, but the job log contains error message:

 

"Error determining planning periods for calendar xxx".

 

I've investigated the issue and read various related topics around it. The first note which I run into was 549193

 

 

It contains a presumption that the system is using "periodic lot size", which my customer is not so I moved on to note 368079 as instructed.

 

This note instructs me to 1. set the planning calendar date far enough into the future (beyond the planning horizon date). 2. Reduce the planning horizon (date?).

 

 

My planning calendar is valid from 02.01.2015 to 30.03.2017 while the planning horizon value for this specific plant has not been specified.

 

Any ideas what is causing the message on the batch job job log?

 

Are there material requirements beyond the planning calendar date of 30.03.2017 or am I missing something else?

 

I've also checked table VBBE's furthest material availability date - 31.10.2016 and EBAN's furthest deliverdate 27.11.2015.

Issues with migrating JAVA Application from BO 3.1 to BI 4.1

Posting this question under JAVA SDK Application Development upon a suggestion.

 

Hi All.

         I'm working on a JAVA application which uses BO reports.

I'm trying to update the application from BO 3.1 to BI 4.1 where I'm facing some issues with compatibility.

 

We use classes like BIPlatform, ResponseHolder, InfoObjects and methods like get (from BIPlatform) and getInfoObjects (from ResponseHolder) to fetch the reports from the BO folder

 

If we run with old jar files, the code couldn't pick up from the folder.

If the dsws-biplatform.jar is updated, we receive an error "Unhandled Type Exception DSWSException" which couldn't be resolved with importing it (or) using try/catch block (or) adding throws declaration.

If the dsws-session.jar is updated, we face issue with EnterpriseCredential.

EnterpriseCredential is used to pass the credentials to login to the BO Server

 

In BO 3.1, EnterpriseCredential is a class which can be initialized directly using newEnterpriseCredential();  .. whereas in 4.1, EnterpriseCredential is an Interface which cannot be initialized. If we use EnterpriseCredential.Factory.newInstance(); to intialize it, there's no error but it couldn't login to the server

 

Appreciate any help/suggestions on how to proceed with the upgrade.

Missing Indexes when running reports..

I wrote a CR Viewer using the CR for VS components a few years back for an ERP system. We have noticed recently that reports are running slower than they should. After looking into the issue and testing a few things, the reports all seem to have correct indexes but when I run the reports and specify to save a copy of the report, when I open the copy of the report in CR all the indexes are gone. I believe the reports are not actually using indexes when they are running. Any idea why the Viewer wouldn't be able to read indexes in the reports? If I run the reports directly from the CR designer, they run fine, just slow and no indexes when using the CR for VS components. The database is Btrieve.

Hosting an SAP CodeJam Event

SAP CodeJam: A time to learn, network and have fun.

 

SAP CodeJam is a 5 to 6 hours hands-on coding and networking event where attendees share their knowledge and collaboratively develop with SAP technologies, platforms and tools in a fun and casual environment. The events are developer community focused and supported by SAP, exploring technologies available through theSAP Developer Center.

 

Event topics include the following, each event is based on a single topic around several of SAP technologies, critical is that each technology has a trial or developer edition available and that each attendee is able to continue working after they leave the event - this is also why the list does not encompass "all" technologies from SAP. Several primary technologies are of course focused on but if you have an additional request and we have a trial/developer edition available please reach out to us!


Within these technologies we have several focus areas for the CodeJam events:

 

 

Anyone can host an SAP CodeJam. To run an event in your city, please follow these guidelines.

 

6-8 Weeks Before the Event

  1. To request a CodeJam event in your city, submit an email request to the following email address: sapcodejam@sap.com. In the email, please include the name and email of the main contact person for the event, country and city in which the event will take place, estimated number of attendees, address of the location the event will be held, topic of the event and at least 3 possible dates for the event to take place. Be sure to include a bio of yourself and WHY you want to host a CodeJam event. The following criteria should be meet in order to have a request approved.

 

    • The event is low key and causal. This is not a workshop or training.
    • You should be able to provide a location for the event, internet access (this should be unrestricted access) as well as power.
    • 25 to 40 attendees, now we don't expect you to provide them all but as these events are local we do expect you to help find those attendees and provide at least a few yourselves.
    • No giveaways or gifts should be given out or included nor will SAP provide these items. It is acceptable to give pads of paper, pens, etc for use during the event.


    You’ll be contacted within 1 to 2 days of submitting your request by an SAP CodeJam team member who will help guide you through the rest of the process.

     

    5 Weeks Before the Event

    1. SAP will create a registration link for the event that will be provided to the host and then made public for sign ups.
    2. The host/requester should send an email to sapcodejam@sap.com with the following information:
      • Copies of quotes to process the funding request
      • Information about any possible security concerns for the location such as pre-registration or listing of hardware ID tags, etc.
    3. SAP will be to market and promote the event on a global level through SCN/Events space, SAP newsletters, etc. The host/requester will be responsible for promoting the event at a local level.
    4. SAP will secure access to the systems needed/required for the event.
    5. SAP will inform the host/requester of the name of the SAP expert once their availability has been secured.

     

    3-4 Weeks Before the Event

     

    1. SAP and the host/requester should continue to promote the event through your networks and social media channels (Google+, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, blogs, etc.) – Don’t forget to include the registration link.

     

    1 Week Before the Event

     

    1. SAP will send out an email to the people registered for the event with the list of links to materials that will help them get prepared (e.g. tutorials, videos, requests for trial licenses, etc.).
    2. Two days before the event, SAP will send an event reminder notification to all attendees.

     

    During the Event

     

    1. The host/requester should ensure that all attendees are “checked in” either via the online application or via a check in list.
    2. Any attendee not previously registered should be added with the following information: Name, Email, Company Name - this information along with the check in information should be sent to sapcodejam@sap.com within 24hrs concluding the event.
    3. SAP expert and host/requester should ensure that all attendees have the information they need and aware of the location of the bathrooms, food, etc.
    4. SAP should take pictures of the attendees and the activities during the event for publication on various online channels.

     

    A Week After the Event

     

    1. Post a blog about the experience on SCN (include pictures if possible) and share the link to the blog on the Facebook SAP CodeJam page (www.facebook.com/sapcodejam).
    2. SAP should receive the full attendee list of the event.
    3. Host/requester should either provide the invoice for the food and drinks or bill SAP directly (where applicable)

    Report of collective MRP list

    Dear Sir,

     

    Is there any T code to result a report to collectively access the procurement elements (Planned orders, Purchase Requisitions) of all the materials for which MRP run has taken place, in a single list?

    My client's need is as follows. After MRP run we required cumulative item wise report of MRP output, (item, opening balance, plan, requirement, scheduling, order etc.) so that purchase person can check it out.

    I have tried with T code MD07. But it doesn't provide detailed report.

    Please provide the T code if there is any.

    F.13 Automatic Clearing

    Dear SAPians,

     

    I am executing the Automatic clearing for GR/IR but its not working only in the case of Import (i.e. Foreign Currency) whereas Local currency is clearing normally.On execution the system shows information message "The difference is too large for clearing" and "No clearing". Whereas, the Debit and credit amount exist. I have tried to clear the via F-03 ( manual Clearing ) still the system respond the same.

     

    Just for information; After invoicing, there is an issue identified in MM condition due to which we have to reverse MIRO and MIGO to correct the system impact and then post the entries normally.

     

    One more thing, the GL was cleared in the last period normally .i.e. vie F.13 and it worked properly, but now only in current period it is not working.


    I have try to look for the response on Google but couldn't found it.


    I would highly appreciate for you response.
